Branch Excursions, 2019

Richard Lewis has now arranged this year’s trips.  Brief details are as follows:


Tuesday 2 July 2019

Itinerary: Kilpeck Inn: morning coffee. Kilpeck Church: guided tour. Ledbury: lunch followed by guided tour. Hellens Manor: guided tour. St Bartholomew, Much Marcle: guided tour.

Cost: Coach hire, church donations, guides, admission fees, afternoon tea: £35 per person


Tuesday 9 July 2019

Itinerary: Eardisley Church. Shobdon Church. Hampton Court Castle: lunch. Croft Castle: National Trust property. National Trust members: free admission to Croft Castle (please bring NT membership card). For non-NT-members, admission is £9.40 each. This is in addition to the cost of the trip and is to be paid at the Castle.

Cost: Coach hire and Hampton Court Gardens: £26 per person. Refreshments and lunch not included in this price.


Pick-up points:

     7.00am:   D J Thomas, Baglan Depot

     7.25am:   Swansea Leisure Centre car park

     7.45am:   Clydach: top of the main road, by the Mond works

     8.00am:   Pontardawe Tesco


There is a limited number of spaces available, so early booking is advised. The branch regrets that payments are non-refundable, unless the trip/trips is/are cancelled.

Payment should be made by cheque, payable to The Historical Association, Swansea Branch.

If both trips are booked, a single payment of £61 is acceptable.
